CONTRIBUTION TO THE PUBLIC CONSULTATION ON THE RENOVATION WAVE INITIATIVE FOR PUBLIC AND PRIVATE BUILDINGS
ECFD provided its feedback to the Roadmap and the consultation on the Renovation Wave initiative.
As part of the commitments in the European Green Deal, the European Commission is preparing a ‘Renovation Wave’ for public and private buildings to address the twin challenge of energy efficiency and affordability. This initiative will set a vision for the short, medium and long term to kick-start and deliver different levels of renovation of the existing building stock, with accompanying financial instruments and mechanisms. The Renovation Wave is also a key component of the EU’s recovery after the Covid-19 pandemic.
